You said you didnt say there was a huge disparity. Liar
Yet you fail to average out ALL of the other stats MO.

I'd take Jordan over James but it's a very close call. I think because I grew up watching Jordan and was much more impressionable as a kid. Plus, Jordan played in a time when the sports media machine was still getting ramped up and he was more mysterious than James.
I finally figured out what set North off on the massive string of personal attacks. He either thinks I said or is trying to spin what I said in that initial statement into me saying Jordan had a massive amount more of free throw shots than James. That is not what I was trying to get at, lol. I'm sorry you thought that is what it meant.
Wow North, Mo beat you into such a pulp in this argument you had to put him on ignore?
Talk about a beatdown of epic proportions. It's weird for me to agree with you this much Mo but you are just hitting the nail on the head in this thread.
To say James isn't at least in the same discussion as Jordan now is to admit that either A) You don't understand basketball or B) You just hate LeBron so much (or love Jordan so much) that you just can't look at the players objectively. Or I guess C) You are so enamored with counting rings that you can't look at anything else.
Only has 2 rings. Fans compare him to the G.O.A.T.

If rings is your argument. Bill Russell is the greatest player of all time.
The NBA has a huge tradition of giving stars an edge in officiating. Both Jordan and James got it. Jordan went almost three years, iirc, without being called for traveling. James is typically allowed to play more physically against his guy (when he's on defense) than vice versa. I admit that this is conjecture, but the NBA does have that reputation.
In regards to the discrepancies of averages - you do have to have an actual baseline, but that's tricky for obvious reasons. Even if you rarely play in a season, as a young guy, you get a lot out of being around the game and the practices and all that.
