Our favorite Gay Alouette has apparently left the team...
And if you can't trust Jason Butt to give us accurate news about the First Openly Gay Player, who can you trust?Report: Michael Sam leaves CFL team for personal reasons

(5:46 pm ET) Michael Sam's Canadian Football League career isn't off to the best start. Actually, it hasn't had much of a start.Sam hasn't practiced with the Montreal Alouettes since Thursday and left the team on Friday to fly to Texas for "personal reasons," FoxSports.com is reporting.
The Alouettes will play their first preseason game on Saturday.
Alouettes coach Sam Higgins said he was surprised by Sam's absent, especially since he did attend team meetings on Thursday.
"This surprises me right now. I thought he would have been out here," Higgins said.
Sam, the first openly-gay player to be drafted into the NFL, signed a two-year deal with the Alouettes in May.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
I was going to leave it alone until I saw the byline - Jason Butt (chasin' butt?). Makes me think this is a pseudonym for Pedro Gomez.
I also think Michael Sam could get more mileage out of his career if he changed his name to Gay Alouette. Or maybe Caitlin Alouette.

You guys better stop or you are going to get Broncowave all worked up. lmao

"Friday morning, Michael asked the team a special permission to leave training camp and return home for personal reasons.
"The Montreal Alouettes fully respect Michael Sam's decision and rally around him to offer him all time and support needed. The team has left the door open and Michael is welcome to come back whenever he feels ready."
