Finished the Broncos Back to Football 7k this morning. Gorgeous run that took me past a lake and back to and THROUGH the stadium! Here is the shiny new medal I now get to look at in my cubicle every day:

    EDIT:

This was the course. I actually finished in 41 minutes but I was in awe of being on the field and keep screwing around and taking pictures with my friend:

Its the only reason I ran it. Really nice too, has a good weight to it. Gonna try and see if it can double as a can opener.

I have a trip to Phoenix this year as well if you're down for a run while I'm there

    March is tough....tax season.

Let me know when you have dates set and we can see if there are any races scheduled.

BTB, I am on week 2 of my 5K training.

I think I might have to give up cigars

Got a new running watch. Picked up the Samsung Gear Fit 2. Pretty bad ass so far.

Have any of you used compression sleeves to combat shin splints?

Been a while since I posted here, because it's been a while since I ran.

Got told by the doc I had arthritis in my back, I also had a dodgy calf, so the physio told me to quit everything

After a few months of core strength training, yoga and plyometric exercise, my arthritis is gone.... Which I guess means it wasn't arthritis, but the physio always felt it was a lazy diagnosis based solely on my history of carrying weight and age

This programme involved lots of plank and squats and strange movements that encouraged my biomechanics to change.... Because I had been compensating for poor form for years and eventually my body broke.

Had lots of physio over the years, usually for knee injuries, but this was different, and set about rebuilding me, not repairing me.

Went for my first run today since July, took it really easy, but I felt great
