I am not as young as I was..... But I am a lifetime away from being "Joe old"

Well..... after this run, I took my guys on a five miler, they are younger than me, but are definitely in worse shape! That pleases me.

It always makes me feel good when I take a group out for pt. I sometimes get down on my fitness level because it's not where it once was, but it's fun to see sometimes that I can still crush the souls of those half my age.

I only run once a week now. My knees have just not been cooperating. I started lifting weights a lot more, lost 14lbs, got a lot stronger, and am happy with my current trajectory.

I haven’t been running, but I have cut and split approximately a cord of wood in the last 3 weeks, using a chainsaw and an 8 pound splitting maul. I feel great; it’s a whole body workout

I've been running nearly every day now, short distance. My left knee complains. When I broke it last year, the cartilage/joint got jacked up. When I start that it's reluctant to weight-bear, but then I get in a groove and it's fine.

What has really surprised me lately is making gains in strength/reps on bench and other lifting things. I thought that didn't really happen after 40 but I'm not complaining.
