Thread: The Running Thread

I haven't started running yet, but I did do 5 sets of 10-15 knuckle pushups and 7 sets of 10 with the ab roller, a few pull ups, and 3 sets of 20 lunges with one of the little ones on my back.

I've been fairly out of shape, so I'm taking baby steps. I'll probably start running in the next couple of weeks

My GPS watch was out of battery, so I had to use my phone to track my run.

I quite like it as it means I can screen shot it afterwards.

Early evening 6 miler tonight, Sun was still out, no music just the birds, my footsteps and the sound of my breathing. I felt awesome. #zen #mindfulness #yugan

I had loads left at the end, so I think my rehab is now over and I just need to get back into proper shape.

No mountains, but still nice runs at work here. The humidity is going to take a while to get used to.

Yep. I also root for the Saints when they're not playing the Broncos. I was fortunate enough to meet a few of them, Joe Horn, Drew Brees, last time I was stationed here and they made me a supporter. I stop short of saying I'm a fan per se as I'm only a Bronco fan, but I'll root for them. Plus, my wife bought it for me as a birthday gift so it's a workout shirt.

My new duties have me traveling the country inspecting reserve units. So, a benefit of that is I get to run in all these different places. This week, Detroit, Michigan. 4 miles through and around a HUGE cemetery. The area I tab in is pretty nice but I definitely saw all the blighted areas driving in yesterday. Good run, 7:35 pace overall. I'll do some sprints tomorrow and go for 5 miles Wednesday.

This would explain why you didn't text me back yesterday
