I didn't add that mile yesterday Dave. I did 5 miles with an average pace of 8:17. My legs are still sore from all the squats on Monday. Today's workout was a bit different. We have a 5 story parking garage next to the building, we went up to the top with a 44lb kettlebell and proceeded to do 6 laps of running down one side, around the building to the other, up the 6 flights of stairs (hitting every stair on the way up), doing 20 kettlebell swings, across the top, down the 5 flights, back around, up, etc.
My average heart rate throughout the workout was 146, max 193. Smoked.
Injury setback - tweaked my knee snowboarding today. No complete tear, ligament-wise, but something happened because I got that old nausea feeling that you get when it's not just a fall. That oh, ****, I don't want to move feeling. But nothing popped and my mid-injury thought process was "holy balls that hurts, c'mon no, don't ******* break or tear, ok, ok, good." Anyway, I was able to board down after a few minutes. I'm walking on it and hope tomorrow the swelling and discomfort goes down. I'm supposed to be up on the mountain again soon, someone has to teach my son how to be a proper Coloradoan.
This rehab thing blows. I want all my strength back, right now!

12 miles, 22 obstacles, so much mud. Mud everywhere. Obviously lots of mud at the obstacles, but this is a swamp, there was mud everywhere. The trail would be dry but there was mud all over the place. That was awesome. Such a good time. Highly, highly recommended.
