I think Floyd punches his head off all night in a one sided domination

Think Flyod is going to win this. Had he fought Manny 5 years ago when he wanted then he would lose.

My brain says Floyd but my heart says Manny. This will be the first boxing match in years that I am even remotely interested in.

Yeah i agree - Floyd has aged much better and his decline has been no where near as sharp. This should have happened 5-8 years ago and it would have been one of thee greatest fights ever - now it is a bit too late for it to tell us who was the best due both being past their prime

Yeah, the fight will be a spectacle, I still want to see it, but it feels hollow.

hence the huge growth in popularity of other combat sports. It is why even with all its deficiencies the ufc model is far superior to the messed up bixing world. In the ufc the only fights that dont happen are because of injury or across weight division. I am intersted but angry it took this long

can we not turn this into some MMA vs boxing crap?

I dont really care about MMA. Or boxing in general. But whenever a match comes like this around, boxing is hands down in the spotlight.

ok i guess some people were right.

    Boxing is a joke.

Most boring fight ever. Feel bad for people who paid to watch Mayweather run away for 12 rounds.

Did they release the compupunch numbers?
The scorecard system is a joke, especially with the vantage point the judges have.

i just dont understand how someone can even try to compare themselves to Ali when they cant even knock someone out.

5 Years in the Making? for what? 12 rounds of utter crap?

Yup. Saw it--friend used as an excuse to throw a party. Went -exactly- as expected. Decision fight with only a hint of early round drama.

    Cruise decision win.

He can declare himself the greatest of all time, but he's not. I watched Roy Jones Jr. in his prime. He was every bit as effective a boxer and counter puncher as Mayweather. He was extremely fast and could hit guys from really unorthodox angles. However, Roy had unusual power for how quick he was. He had one punch nock out power. He tko'd Virgil Hill with a body shot.
Roy Jones was the greatest fighter I've ever seen and it's not even close.
