    Wow, didn't see that one coming, but he plays a very physically punishing position, and he is himself a very physical player. There's only so much the body can take, no matter who you are.

    Wow, didn't see this coming either. Good for him though. Will go down as an all time great at his position, is financially set for life, and won't have the same long term impact on his health as had he played longer.

    That's shocking bc Willis was still playing at a high level. He was also the heart and soul of that strong defense they had for years. 49ers are going to be in trouble! Loss of coach, franchise MLB, Gore, Crabtree and rumors about trading Kap. They already were looking weaker last year.

    Have to say it but I would of loved him here in our 3-4. Think our D would be a serious force.

    Not only a loss of a HC, but loss of one of the premier coaches and replaced with a guy that while he could prove me wrong, he has the makings to be the village idiot.
