Default What Color is the Dress?

I did a quick search and haven't seen this posted, but has anyone seen this picture blow up on social media? I came across it last night. To me, the dress is very clearly Black and Blue. My wife swears it is white and gold. I am putting up a poll here so I can figure out what is wrong with my (or your) eyes.

Here is a link to a story about the science of it:

The Internet is going crazy debating the colors of this dress. According to three quarters of the people in one poll (including the author), it is gold and white. On the other hand, a solid minority (including my boss, so I'd better be careful) see it as black and blue.

All i saw on FB was this stupid dress. How annoying.

FTR I see without a doubt blue and Gold...I can see hints of black lining the gold on the outer edges, but to me its blue and gold. I find it very interesting that it is actually black and blue and yes, I read the science behind it this morning. Reminds me of the show "Brain Games" which is pure awesome if none of you have ever watched it. I highly recommend for some cool insight into your mind.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I should also point out for those who do not care to know the science behind it. If you scroll to the pic and only look at the top half it will look more like white/gold. If you scroll so you can only see the bottom half it will look black and blue. Kind of neat.

I know its annoying but being in the graphic design/web design field for so long color theory stuff like this is fascinating to me. I still haven't found too many people that see it as blue besides myself.

Black and blue at first look. I can see what you mean about just looking at the top half though. When I do that the black starts to look golden.

Agreed. The power of the brain. Crazy things it does. Have you ever seen brain games? You should check it out, it sounds like its right up your alley.

I chose the white and gold option since there was no other option available. I would say it's a sheen ivory with dull gold, there is a blue hue to it, but not seeing the environment or what could be reflected upon the dress makes it difficult to really tell one way or the other.

The blue to me is almost the same blue as the dark blues of the horse in your Lancane avatar. So weird!

Black and blue all the way. This is coming from someone who hasn't been outside without sunglasses since the middle of the last decade. I'm also a night owl. So if my understanding of the explanation is right, I see colors much more saturated because of how my eyes take in light.

White and Gold for me, which apparently is wrong.

Guess I'll need to see why. I'm in design also and annoyed to be wrong.

Th e picture on Amazon looks black and blue. The one in the article looks light blue and tan. Bad lighting probably judging just from the photo that is what it is. Too blue to be white.

    Blue and dark blue.

My wife showed me this earlier, it freaked her out - I can not even see how white and gold cones into it
