Man there are a few things that sum up my childhood. Kings Table, Drive-Ins (Northstar and 88th), Celebrity Fun Center, Showbiz Pizza and Organ Grinder. I miss some of the old malls like Cinderella City, too. As a matter of fact the last of the old Malls was torn down about 10 years ago when Westminster Mall went down.
Celebrity was the best place ever. When we adopted my brother, that is where we did the Wednesday's Child segment.

Is lakeside still around? That roller-coaster was a chiropractor's dream.

I used to work at eliches in the summers of 93 and 94 so I could pay for prom and a little spending change for freshman year.

Back on topic...drive in are cool...

Celebrity was my fav. Had so many bdays there.

Lakeside sadly is still there. Never been updated. Still a death trap of old warped wood and splinters. My sons school has a thing there every year and I refuse to go on the rides. Its was old and busted when I was a kid.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I remember some of these places. Not totally sold on the profitability of drive-ins though.

Does remind me of an old Aggie joke:
"Heard about the Aggie couple they found froze to death at the drive-in theatre?"
"Yeah. They went to see 'Closed For Winter'".
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

You aint watched a movie until you tried a luxury theater. There's one in Sparks, NV.

we have one in Newcastle (a luxury theatre), not been yet, however for 25 pounds - about 35 dollars, you get a couch to sit on, waitress service and basically as much food and drink as you like.

We have one here in overland park called Cinetopia. They play movie trailers behind the guy who takes the tickets.

They have couches, sofas with attached tables, and unlike the AMC 30 here, all the food is served before the trailers start.

Prices are very reasonable and it's not overly crowded. Its more for adult than kids so you don't hear alot of chatter while watching the movie.

Looks really nice! My current favorite "luxury" (i.e. no Bullshit) movie experience in Colorado is the Alamo Drafthouse. Great ticket prices, special events, nearly every local craft beer on tap, and food service to your seat. Plus they play custom featurettes in front of each film instead of commercials. Like when we saw Man of Steel there we saw a bunch of weird clips like Bollywood Superman and weird crap like that. Plus their cellphone/talking policy is legendary. They took a customer complaint phone call and used the dumbass in a clip they play before the show:
