Thread: i need some help posting some pictures.....

as we all know, i am not good with computers. I have some new pictures i finally got, but so far have unsuccessfully tried to post some on here.

Can anyone help me figuer out how to do this.

I would like to be of help to you, but often I need too much help to be of help on computers myself. First, have you downloaded the pictures under Mydocs/mypictures? Are they on Photobucket?

KCLady suggested I put my photos on Photobucket, and then I was able to use the URL to put into the image address to post them.

I hope you have better luck downloading your photos than with outsmarting that squirrel.

Wife had to use the computer..... Although i probably should have described my problem...

I have a cd that has all kinds of pictures on it. I uploaded the CD onto the hardrive, and then tried to copy and paste the little code thing or whatever it is. (DSCN1730.JPG) <--the number 1730 is picture number. I got that far.

On the other site i know for my sig i had to do something with the little mountains, but i cant remember. Where is photobucket? How do i do that?

just follow the directions. Its easy. I know I can use it.

If you don't want a photobucket account, you can just upload it to www.imageshack.us

No account needed.

Just click browse and click on the CD drive and then click on your picture and click OK. Then upload it!

UR - have you made any progress yet with this?

i set up a photobucket.

remember my real computer is broken so i have to use this slow old computer i got from my old high school (dont ask.)

It probably would have been faster to use the image thing you suggested, but alas i had already done the photo. So tonight when i get off work i shall try to finish the job.

you seem to be using the wrong code. Use the IMG code. You used the HTML code this time.

ok, do i still click on the mountains- is that where i got the html code, or do i still click on the mountains and just use the img code?

ok, under each image that you upload into your account there will be a list of different codes:

Email and IM
Direct link
HTML
IMG

left click on the code (IMG) it will become highlighted, then right click and the list of options will appear on your screen, left click on copy, come back to BF (the next post) right click again in the posting box, then left click paste. You do not have to put into the posting box before pasting the code.
