Default My Early 2015 draft plan and guys to start looking at.

Yes the season is still on going. Who knows how we will do and who we will keep in FA and who we will sign in FA. But here are the positions I think we will draft and some guys I think we should (as of now) keep tabs on.

    RD 1:
FS Landon Collins. Rahim is extremely average. Thought/hoped he would grow and IMO he has not. We need a real ball hawk FS
OG Tre Jackson. With Franklin likely gone and the fact we MUST get Manram off the starting squad this guy works well
MLB Denzel Perryman. I love this kid. Better than CJ Mosley imo. Doubt he falls to 32 but I want!

    RD2:
    DT-Carl Davis

    RD 3: TE
    Clive Walford

    RD: 5 Comp pick
    TE EJ Bibbs

I am sure we are going to draft at least two TEs. Im confident FS and OG are on the list too. I personally like Matt Paradis at C. MLB could be an issue unless Danny T balls out there and marshall stays at will
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I think Landon Collins is too much like T.J Ward, how bout Gerod Holliman from Luisville? 14 Int's this season.

    Draft
1st round— Shemar Stewart 5-T (Best talent in the draft)
2nd round— Shavon Revel CB (1st round prospect before knee injury)
    3rd round— Savion Williams WR
    4th round— Charles Grant LT
    6th round— Vernon Broughton 3-T
    6th round— Tyler Shough QB
    6th round— Dont’e Thornton WR

I was looking over your list and came across some other names that seem interesting to my untrained eye. What are your thoughts on these guys...

    Cody Prewitt, FS
    Benardrick McKinney, ILB
    Eddie Goldman, DT
    Malcom Brown, DT

McKinney and prewitt are the only ones I've heard of and looked at. Thanks for adding these guys. I def see DT as a need for us. Will have to check them out

Why would you want other tight end? We have Orange Julius and Virgil Green. I think they should draft MLB, NT, LG, WR, and QB.

WR Wes Welker may leave Denver after this season and Broncos needs an extra WR. Why I wanted to get other quarterback? Personally, Brock Osweiler didn't impress us at all and I have bad feelings about him all the time. He is not an NFL quarterback to us. I think Elway and Coach Fox should do re-evaluate on quarterback depth chart.

I can almost guarantee you we will draft two this draft. We have zero TE under contract next year. Zero. I don't expect us to keep OJ, I hope so, but I see DT, Harris, and some other guys getting the contract over him. I fully expect Virgil to be signed as he's our only blocking te.

Even with oj and virg, we will need two more. Tamme is likely gone.

I would love to see us bring in Sam Bradford in FA at qb to compete with Brock.

MLB is an issue, so is nt, and OG like you said. I feel FS is one area that is keeping us from being an absolute dominant force on defense. But MLB could be there too.

Wr could be had in FA or draft. We will have several comp picks this year, mid rounds 4-7, we could take a flyer on a wr there.

This year showed we have some serious depth issues, LB and OL. Not to mention all players who are in final years of contract. So hard to predict need until some players are resigned.

This is where i need to acknowledge the limit of my knowledge of the college game, at present, i dont know what round guys will fall to, but i love AJ Johnson. Outside of him, it is really only guys in skill positions that i am aware of, and most of them are 1/2 round prospects.

I think we need Guards (franklin gone), a TE(JT gone), a NT(Pot roast gone), a WR (welker gone) and an LB (cover) - i would look at another FS or CB in FA.

I also am a fan of bringing in Sam Bradford for a work out at least

Just a few first round ideas

Shilique Calhoun - Ware isnt getting younger and Q isnt getting any better. A back-up plan would be nice.

Ty Sambrailo - Because RT will still be an issue

Benardrick McKinney - Because inevitably many people will still think that a consistently top run defense needs a high draft pick at MLB

Devin Funchess - Because saving money on JT and getting an over-sized WR on the cheap to replace him isnt a bad idea.

AJ Cann - because OG will likely still be a problem

Just my opinion, but I see him as a 7-8 sack guy. I need more than that from my RDE.

I think he's good as a rotation guy.

I would like to think that. But 9 tackles and no sacks says otherwise so far. I guess we'll see what happens

    Good Dave!

I am also not a college football guy. I do not even watch it, at all. Ever.

I just look at my team and try to figure out which positions will help us the most. From there I look at the best players at those positions and start researching them.

Thanks Coach. Do you like Mckinney better then Perryman? I looked at Mckinney and I like Perryman much more. But i have only looked briefly at both.

I feel in the first round we need to get that FS, OL (OG or RT) if an Elite MLB is there yes, therwise im fine with Irving and co, or DL. Seems like a lot but thats good imo. If we can get that STUD FS or DL in 1. Then we can look at OL or DL in 2. I like that TE in 3. I think going TE in mid rounds is the way to go. Should be easier to nab a few of them mid round and save our top picks for FS, OL,DL,MLB.

IM not the biggest Q smith fan either. Was never real high on him from his games. But I do like Malik Jackson, I think he could be our RDE. When he doesnt make stupid penalties.
