The Pirates are ****ing stupid if they think Arietta hit their guys on purpose. That pitcher should be ejected.

Rodriguez probably broke his hand again... For some reason I missed it - why didn't he get an at bat?

That's literally the one team left that would piss me off if they won it. Any other team would be a good story. So watch it be St. Louis.

If they had a healthy Wainwright starting I'd like their chances more. But they are always solid this time of year.

Yeah, part of it is I've grown accustomed to them playing past what their roster has in terms of talent.

    Who do you have?

I think it'll be the Jays and Royals in the ALCS, and the winner of that will win the World Series over the Dodgers. I've got the Jays.

The Jays are stronger than I gave them credit for. The Royals were my second pick.

I won't lie, I love watching the Pirates get their shit stomped.

The Jays bats crush, and Price is great. I think any of the teams remaining could win the WS and it wouldn't shock me - except for the Rangers. I don't give them a real shot.

    Didn't expect that.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Default Josh Donaldson passes concussion protocol, will be re-evaluated Friday

TORONTO -- The Toronto Blue Jays are facing the possibility that third baseman Josh Donaldson will not be available for Game 2 of the American League Division Series against the Texas Rangers after he took a knee to the head in Game 1, forcing his departure in the fifth inning of Thursday's 5-3 Blue Jays loss.

"Donaldson, he banged his head there, so he came out, precautionary -- they check for concussions, and he apparently passed all the tests, so that's good news,'' manager John Gibbons said. "We'll see how he is tomorrow."

Donaldson, attempting to break up a double play on a ground ball by Jose Bautista with runners on first and second in the fourth, popped up on his slide and caught a knee to the side of the head from Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor, who was not able to complete the double play.
