    more from article

The Rockies have long targeted young righthander Kevin Gausman, who's from Colorado. They have a few other pitching prospects including former first-rounder Hunter Harvey, plus Mike Wright, Mychael Givens and others. The Orioles do not want to deal Gausman.

If they are not going to give you the player you want, step the **** away Bridich. You don't have to make the damn trade.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Bruce to the Mets for Wheeler?

That seems decent if it goes down? Has it? Will it?

    The Giants have acquired Leake.

I had to look up Wheeler. Will he be back this year?

Adam Duvall is from Louisville, KY and made his debut against the Reds.

No. But he's going to be a decent major league pitcher. He's odd man out in that amazing Mets stable.

Personally, I wouldn't do it if I'm the Mets. I like Bruce, but we already have a corner outfielder who hits for power, low average and strikes out a lot (Granderson).

I was hesitant to trade him for Gomez, but that trade made more sense than this one does. It might happen anyway, but after another soul crushing loss, I'd rather do nothing. This team is going nowhere this year, despite all the great starting pitching.

He won't be back from TJ surgery until June/July next year and will probably take a while getting up to speed (a la Harvey this year). So it'll be 2017 before he is truly able to contribute. I still think he could be valuable to the Mets in that rotation since good pitching is always important. By then Fulmer might be great, though, so who knows?

I appreciate your insight, VD. Assume he bounces back from TJ surgery completely. On a scale of 1-10, what is his talent level at?

At the end of last season, I'd say a 6 or 7. He has control issues but if he could get past that, he'll be real good. We all thought he would take a big step forward this year so it's a shame that the injury happened before we could find out

Besides, we can't all jump on the Yankees and Red Sox bandwagons, not enough room.

Sandberg and Alamor were good too. I honestly don't remember watching Morgan play, but hes far and away my favorite baseball commentator.
