    Default offseason

I just wanted a thread about potential moves in off season and not just Fox or Manning talk. Yes I think there will be a coaching shaky down. We have a great roster Elway put together.

I think both Thomases and Pot roast are top priority. I would get Moore and Franklin on cap friendly deals. DT will get tagged.

Free agency moves or draft, shore up OL and MLB and LB depth. Fill holes left by departing FA.

I think manning should retire and we can use cap elsewhere. Every game since the rams game. No trust in OK or something. But deep passes were off. He misses most today, over throq, and no zip on ball. It comes down to do they want Manning or Osweiler since we are going into his last year. Do you groom a guy and let him walk?

I think the thigh injury impacted him more than we were led to believe. Not being able to put his bodies into throws affected his performance. I think coaching is a bigger issue.

Hey we could replace Manning's salary by trading for Cutler. LOL. :barf:

Let Franklin test the market. Pot Roast and DT are priorities. JT needs to be tagged, but trading him wouldn't be a bad thing. I want Virgil Green back. Hopefully Moore isn't sought after by other teams and we can re-sign him.

I would rather have Moore then a hole there. He will get interest. JT won't be tagged, that will be saves for DT just in case. JT should not demand top dollar, with only one healthy season on record.

Whoops. Phrased my post incorrectly. We do need Moore back. Ideally, we re-sign DT and tag JT because the TE cap number is not as high.

The same thing I want every season, Pinky: Try and find a legit starting G and MLB (at least my perennial longing for decent DTs is sated, assuming we keep Knighton.) Apart from that, nothing NEEDS changing except coaching, unless Manning really has totally lost it for good (or is just too frustrated to spend another year getting knocked around while chasing a carrot on a stick through the frigid Rockies.)
Oh, valid point. I thought you meant all starters, you should take the time to be more descriptive, don't be shy. Jaded

I will get in more detail the further the offseason with the draft, etc.

But FA wise i would like to look at these guys who should be affordable,

    Bryan Bulaga- OT
    Brandon Graham- OLB
    Mark Ingram- RB
    Devin McCourty- S
    Jason Pierre-Paul- DE
    Jake Locker- QB
    Niles Paul- TE

    Cut loose:

    Peyton Manning
    Julius Thomas

If DT is asking to much than we can let him loose and try to sign someone else but for now i would keep him as long as the price range is right.

    All coaching aside, only players.....

I expect knighton to walk. So DT, and a stud DT at that is a must!
I expect Franklin to come back for cheap.
JT gets a contract he can't refuse and leaves.
    DT will be re-signed
Moore will walk. FS is a huge need!
Welker will come back for 2-4 per year or be gone.

    I. Would devote a lot of our cap (which will be plentiful) to:
    Vernon Davis
    Ndamakong suh

I doubt either but as of now they are my top two priorities.

We know we need LG, C, RT, FS, TE, DE, DT, MLB, wr.........we will have lots of cap again, even after we keep DT long term and whoever else.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Aside from letting loose people this is a great list. Bologna would be huge and ideal!

I don't like locker tho, and JpP may not be a good fit.

If we get McCourty that would be another incredible but that is a long shot.

Locker was really the best option in terms of "veteran" QB play that i liked. He wasnt the total answer but with him, Oz, and maybe a draft pick we could keep afloat until there was a better option.
