Default Kyle Shanahan soured over Browns

Fricton among the coaching staff and front office of the Cleveland Browns has left offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan considering his options elsewhere, Cleveland.com has reported, citing multiple league sources.

Shanahan is among several candidates to fill the head-coaching vacancy with the Buffalo Bills and will reportedly interview for the job Thursday morning.

According to the report, he is also enticed by the idea of coaching again under his father, Mike Shanahan, with whom he worked for four years on the Washington Redskins before both were fired after last season.

The Bills, San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders have already interviewed Mike Shanahan and would consider hiring the father-son duo with Mike Shanahan as head coach and Kyle as offensive coordinator, Cleveland.com's report said Tuesday.

That's what happens when you have an incompetent organization.

I thought there was a report somewhere that Kyle didn't want to work under his dad again.

Bush league franchise with an amateur head coach and a clueless owner... What's not to like?

You forgot about a young prima donna alcoholic QB.

    Default Source: Shanahan leaves Browns

The Cleveland Browns tradition of change continues as a team source told ESPN.com on Thursday that offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and quarterback coach Dowell Loggains will not be retained.

Both spent one year with the Browns, and both were under contract for 2015.

An announcement is expected later Thursday. The news was earlier reported by Fox Sports.

Sources familiar with the situation said the split was caused because the pair did not see eye to eye with the front office about quarterback Johnny Manziel. The front office wants Manziel to be the starter, and the source said the coaches do not believe they can win with him.

There's not much football hope for Manziel. He has nothing to play for coming from a family that is worth millions. If he fails in the NFL, his lifestyle doesn't fail. He would be a coordinators nightmare in my opinion. Who knows, maybe he finds success, I doubt it though.

I find myself pulling for the kid for no reason whatsoever.

    Same with the Browns.

I was kind of pulling for the Browns this season, until they put in Johnny, but as soon as he went in I found it hard to cheer for them.

    Thanks MasterShake!!!
