Default Terrible News for a forum member

I regret to report that Cswil/Rex's wife passed away today, having finally succumbed to her five year battle with breast cancer. If you are of a mind to pray for him and his two small children please do so.

He has stood by his wife's side for this whole stretch of time, a model of a father and husband IMO. Its a damned terrible stroke, and I pray that the Lord will provide he and his children the strength and courage to continue on.

I have a reputation, perhaps overrated, for being pretty good with words, and I've got nothing here. He has faced and is facing the sum of all my fears.

Chris is a good man, and this is hard to hear. My thoughts are with him.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

FWIW he has earned my respect as a husband, a father, and a man. God Bless him

Rex was always one to have sharp words and a hilarious command on the English language. He always struck me as a hilarious jerk -in a good way- and I was always fond of him. I am still fond of him. He's a good dude. I am so, so, so sorry that this has happened. I mourn the loss of his wife, and the harm that has befallen him and his two children is just awful. My sister and I were devastated when our father passed. She was entering college and I was a junior in high school. I cannot begin to fathom the hurt that those little ones must be feeling right now. The fact that this happened during this time of the year is just another bitter pill to swallow. I doubt that a message board community in totality is on his mind, but I know that many of us really love that guy.

Rex, we love you brother. We are so sorry. We can only offer words and no real tangible sustenance to combat what you are feeling right now, but you are not alone my friend.

You will be in our thoughts and our prayers.

    We love you.

    Our condolences.

I saw his post on facebook today. I saw him and his wife a couple of months ago at a swim meet for his kids. After that they were headed to St. Louis for some treatments. He seemed pretty upbeat. When I saw this today, I couldn't believe it. Just broke my heart. I'm thinking about going to the services later this week. Me and my wife might drive over.

Very sorry to hear this. I don't know if he still reads here or not, but my heart goes out to you and your kids. There are no words that could possibly comfort anyone in this situation, sorry Rex.

You, your kids, and your entire family are in our prayers.

Thoughts and prayers are with Rex and his family. As cancer is so tragic. As I have had two immediate family members having cancer.

Man im sorry to hear that. Puts everything in perspective of how valuable and short life is. Treasure the moments with your family and be kind to one another, we are only here for a moment.

Praying for strength for Rex and his family in this difficult time.

It's hard to even comprehend what he and his girls are going through. I hugged my wife a couple extra times yesterday.

God be with you, and give you strength my friend.
