Release it to Netflix or a pay-for-view site. Everyone will see it, and it will make a fortune. Everyone can watch it in the "safety" of their own home, and bring in a huge profit thanks to the idiot in North Korea.
I probably wouldn't have seen this movie at the theatres, but I would see it now.

I hate the fact these terrorist/hackers have this much power. BUT, if you were Sony or a theater owner, what would you do if you knew this message existed?
I think it would be very irresponsible to show the movie in theaters. I also wonder - knowing the tone of these threats - how many of the Hollywood people who criticized Sony would go to the premier."We will clearly show it to you at the very time and places [sic] "The Interview" be shown, including the premiere, how bitter fate those who seek fun in terror should be doomed to," the chilling message reads.
"Soon all the world will see what an awful movie Sony Pictures Entertainment has made," it continues. "The world will be full of fear.
"Remember the 11th of September 2001."
Probably zero.
This wasn't dropped for fear of North Korea, it was dropped for fear of litigation bankruptcy. If something happened, Americans would sue Sony and each and every person involved in the film and at Sony.
Not really. If the public knew about any dangers and decided to purchase a ticket anyway, they are just as responsible for anyone showing the movie. It's not like they (the theatres) knew of the threats and kept them a secret... THAT would be grounds for suite.
But if its a known danger, and the customers willingly participated on their own free will, that would be no different than signing up for a sky diving trip.
