Default Browns player defends wearing shirt

So a police union acted like a bunch of children and complained about Andrew Hawkins wearing this shirt, calling it "pathetic" and demanding an apology:

Hawkins has since spoken about why he wore the shirt:

Andrew Hawkins made headlines when he took the field with a shirt protesting the recent shooting of two unarmed Ohioans. The Browns made us proud when they refused a demand from Cleveland cops to apologize. And now that he's explained it, we realize that Hawkins isn't just some athlete who threw on a t-shirt because it's the trendy thing to do. He knows what he's talking about, and he has very good reasons to care.

The video is well worth the watch.

I want justice for all the innocent people that get shot, stabbed and mugged by scumbags that should be shot dead.

    Cops suck at public relations.

I can understand why they take a defensive posture.

I can too, but that's exactly the point - like, maybe don't be so GD impulsive and defensive every time you disagree with something. They aren't doing themselves any favors with that approach.

I think it's weird that so many people who complain about everybody getting offended over all kinds of shit are not also coming out and complaining about these police officers. These cops demanded an apology because a guy wore a shirt and certain people aren't saying "cops need to get over it, stop whining, everybody's gotta be offended about something these days, thanks Obama!" as they have in the past. Selective outrage. There's a difference between saying "y'know, we cops want to be clear that not all cops are bad etc" and "OMG did you see that shirt he wore? he damn well better apologize!"

Bullshit. Cops are willing to put their lives on the line every day. They only way they could hope to assuage the animosity of the current mob is to ignore all crimes committed by persons of color. And why should they sit quietly by and allow ignorant ******** who have no will or ability to absorb the facts act out with bullshit propaganda?

hats of to the cops for having the restraint not to shoot these clowns. (Obviously, not intended literally, Buff et al.)

Whats pathetic is cops mowing down a 12 year old within 2 seconds, then letting him bleed out, while a nearby fbi agent comes over trying to save his life

Reactionary oversimplification if ever I've seen one.

oh yea and the police tried to put Crawfords gf in jail after they shot him.

    The interrogation video was released...

"Are you on drugs? You look like it! " "If you lie, you are going to jail"

Oh yea we just shot your boyfriend to death...

Good job, trying to intimidate the dead mans girlfriend.

And yall got the balls to call something pathetic. Ohio is an open carry state, which makes this even worse.

what's pathetic is POS scumbags trying to act like gangsters and then their families inciting riots after the wannabe gangster gets lit the **** up by cops when he's acting like a douche

I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

If acting like a douche was justifiable cause for getting "lit the **** up", there wouldnt be very many cops or citizens left.
