HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!A spokesperson for the Carolina highway safety authority (HSA) has confirmed that Cam Newton has broken both of his legs in a traffic altercation. He has been transported via ambulance to a local Carolina hospital for treatment, and the full extent of his injuries are not known at this time, however, both of his legs were visibly broken and not life threatening according to sources.
The accident involved a 2012 BMW driven by Cam Newton and a 76 year old female driver in a 2010 Audi. The driver of the Audi was issued a citation for failing to stop at a red light before striking the vehicle driven by Cam Newton at a high rate of speed.
Team spokespersons could not be reached for comment at this time.

Is this the gag that goes around about pretty much every QB at one point or another or is this one real?
Let's Rid3!!!!
This one is real. The pictures are all over twitter.
That's unfortunate. It reads almost exactly like the gag that gets thrown around on the Web every now and again. Crazy.
Was a New Orleans Saint somehow responsible?
Let's Rid3!!!!
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-car-accident/Details are few at the moment, but the crash included Newton’s car flipped over on a bridge and another involved, near the intersection of Church Street and I-277, close to Bank of America Stadium.
Dianne Gallagher of WCNC has a photograph of Newton being loaded into an ambulance, and Chris Littman of the Sporting News has a photo of Newton’s truck after it was flipped over, the top flattened.
