CHARLOTTE, N.C. -

A wreck report released Wednesday indicates that Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was not at fault in Tuesday's crash.

The wreck happened near the team's stadium on the S. Church Street Bridge at Interstate 277 just before 12:30 p.m.

According to the wreck report the driver of the other vehicle, Nestor Pellot, Jr., told police he didn't see Newton's 1998 Dodge truck approaching when he began to cross South Church Street.

The report states that Newton told police that he was traveling southbound on Church Street when Pellot's Buick pulled out in front of him. Two witnesses corroborated Newton's statement.

Some of the (of course wrong) but original reports has it as a little old lady of 76.

I really wish the media wouldnt jump the gun to get a story out just to be the first when the facts are all wrong :/
