Default Tom Brady’s bad words draw FCC complaints

Tom Brady says he’ll keep using the F-word on the football field, and if people don’t like hearing it they should blame the TV networks. Some viewers have done just that.

The Federal Communications Commission has received three complaints from viewers who are angry that they were watching Patriots games on network television and heard Brady swear — or could tell he was swearing by reading his lips.

The Smoking Gun has obtained the complaints, which came after Brady used foul language during the loss to the Packers. One parent wrote that “6 year old children know how to read lips even if there is no sound” and added that TV cameras should not “show Tom Brady screaming the F word on national TV.”

If the 6 year olds are able to read his lips and know what he's saying, then its because they hear it/see it at home...school... in movies... on the street... from friends, from friend's parents.... or whatevers. I don't think the kid is scarred.

So I don't blame Brady. It's not his job to watch his language.

Agreed, i don't blame Brady at all. If there's an issue it's with the tv networks. They have a dump button and if they catch something they shouldn't (nipplegate) then they should dump it.

I think those poosy parents should stop trying to shelter their kids and whine and complain about the dumbest crap ever. I seriously cannot stand those type of people. It is of my opinion that they are behind most of all the stupid laws, regulations, and reasons why we have so many problems all over.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

The moral of the story is that Tom Brady is a potty mouth who doesn't give a shit about children.

They probably let their kids watch HBO and Showtime. Those make the NFL look like a church service by comparison.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Agreed 100% on all points. The type of people who would actually report this to the FCC are the worst and should be sterilized so as not to keep their defective DNA in existence.

    Good grief

I don't like my grade school age kids hearing that crap on the TV in the middle of a Sunday afternoon either. Does that mean I'm a genetic waste Wave? I applaud this woman for voicing her concern. Networks are always pushing boundaries for shock value. If people didn't voice their concern the networks would digress rapidly

Btb is the smartest person around. Self righteous genius if you will. I've wrote him in on the ballot in the last three elections I've participated in

Hearing it is one thing, especially if they are focusing on the players cussing or not filtering the language. However w random swear word is to be expected when watching grown men play sports. Showing brady on the ground pouting to himself and them reading his lips, come on.

Basket ball players, baseball players, even on the radio they do everything but finish the word. Those are all way worse then lip reading a football player.

It's called hyperbole. Also, you couldn't even hear what he said on the telecast. You'd have to have read his lips. And if your kids could decipher what he was saying, then there's really nothing else you can do to shelter them from it. They already know the word.

Brady gets all pissed off if he doesn't get taken for a walk in the 3rd quarter.

All these people thinking they can read lips is nonsense. One time I was cranking tunes at home and my wife thought I yelled, "F**k you."

    But I really yelled, "Vacuum."

I didn't see the telecast. I was assuming we were talking about audible sounds.

As far as I'm aware, it was never audibly picked up on the telecast. Just him mouthing it.
