Yesterday we saw something that hasn’t happened since Peyton Manning joined the Broncos. He failed to throw a touchdown pass. It was the first time in his three years in Denver, and the first time since 2010. The Broncos ended up winning the game, but Peyton Manning was, once again, pretty average. Looking at the numbers, you probably wouldn't think Denver won this game.

DEFENSE

On the defensive side of the ball, the run stopping was good, as usual, but the passing game could have been better. Kyle Orton threw for 355 yards, 127 of which were to Sammy Watkins. Denver did however hold Buffalo to only three points through the first three quarters.

There were some very bright spots on the defense though. Chris Harris, was great as always, David Bruton (who replaced Quinton Carter), Brandon Marshall, Malik Jackson, and Von Miller all stood out on defense.

Chris Harris got his first sack of the season, and also snagged his third interception of the season. He allowed six receptions on nine targets for only 53 yards. David Bruton, who is normally only a special teams ace, stepped up big. He had a team high nine tackles and three defensive stops, and in coverage he allowed only 18 yards on five receptions. Brandon Marshall was all over the place. He had seven tackles, one stop, and in coverage allowed only three catches for 31 yards and also recorded his first...............
