How do you like the Manning self sack?
I only ask because it was discussed on the radio today and was referred to as "cowardly"
Self sacking is a new term but it sounds dirty

Couldn't he have thrown it away there? I don't even care about him wanting to avoid contact, but it looked like he had plenty of time to just get rid of it instead of falling to the ground in the fetal position.

So let me get this straight.....a rookie kicker, McManus, misses a kick, so he's the worst kicker and sucks. A veteran kicker, Prater, misses a kick in his game, and we're supposed to miss him and he's awesome.

Mcmanus is dead last, 32nd, in FG %. So yes, he is the worst kicker we've ever had on this team. Hopefully they bring in 2 or 3 kickers for tryouts today. Mcmanus needs to be gone.

I'm not crying over Prater either; it was probably smart to let him go when we did. But McManus is worse so far, and he has no history of making any clutch kicks anywhere.

I'll revise my statement, though - since McManus can apparently punt, let's keep him for that and ditch Colquitt.

Well, why isn't Elway trying to find a kicker?

That's a good question, because missing a kick from 37 in a situation like that, should be unacceptable.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

I never said it was acceptable, but I find it funny these guys are calling for McManus's head and missing Prater, while both are missing.

I miss Prater from last year when he was making everything and anything...I really miss Jason Elam.

I think Peyton's self sack says alot about his mentality - and his physical shape - if he can't take a hit, he truly needs to retire. At some point you have to realize you are just done (he needs to talk to Champ)

I am not personally ready to see him go and i dont think as an organization we can be a winning team without him BUT this is football and regardless of how great your Oline is, you are going to get hit

Manning should of thrown that ball away. Totally unacceptable to take that sack. Fire his ass.

BRONCOS should be more concerned with their defense rather than a rookie kicker. 58 points given up in the last 2 games. And 43 against the Patriots.

He is Orton-esque when he does it.

Broncos should go for place kicker in NFL Draft 2015.
