I've never been a fan of today's metal. I stick with my roots and am loyal to my music, as I am to my sports teams. The 80's had Glam Rock, Metal combination which I loved. 70's 80's metal/glam was much different than todays metal. I was a Sabbath, Dio, Ozzy, Motorhead, Metallica, Scorpions, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot etc., Cinderalla, Def Leppard, Kiss, etc., I don't even listen to todays music.

Her's my favorite all time metal song and my favorite performer. If you have never seen DIO check out some good 80's metal here:

    Triptykon - Melana Chasmata

Didnt care for the new Behemoth. I think Cradle of Filth wants their lyrics and sound back.

Just goes to show how differently things sound to different people. I dont think it sounds anything like CoF.

I was being mainly sarcastic, i just prefer the more raw death/black sound they used to have. The new album just gave me an overly death/gothic vibe that i just couldnt stomache.

I love I Killed The Prom Queen's new album. A lot. The Acacia Strain's new album Coma Witch is also badass.

Can't wait for the new Parkway Drive album to drop as well.

Out of curiosity do you even listen to metal? That isnt a pot shot at you i just dont recall if you do or you dont. But i would highly disagree that metal today blows. There is quite a bit of great stuff out there. But im not talking about stuff like Avenged Sevenfold and shit like that. That doesnt mean i dont love the stuff i grew up on that Niner talked about but ive been an avid metalhead for quite some time and there is some really great stuff out there. Its one reason why i do stuff like my blog and my radio station/podcasts. To try and allow people to hear some of the stuff out there that isnt mainstream candy.
