Thread: Residents ask Illegal Pete's to change name

The US Patent office needs to cancel the trademark Illegal Petes because it is disparaging to mexicans. Same as they did with the Redskins. Its the PC thing to do. The government should impose its will on we the people, and force us to accept a totally new ideology, which is better for us all in the long run. At least that is what some people want.

I can't believe the restaurant chain has been in Boulder all this time without the same type of protest. I believe the approved politically correct term would make the chain "Undocumented Pete's" which might give you the impression they bypassed the Health Department inspections.

Illegal doesn't distinguish a person by their skin color.

But its a pretty ridiculous complaint. Some want to be offended by everything.

I know Im going off course a bit, but my wife is taking her Master's in Human Resources, and she tells me about some of the petty case scenarios she has to write papers on. Something as simple as a man shaking another man's hand then tapping him on the shoulder, the one man was offended.

I digress.....I agree with Davii.......move the restaurant elsewhere.
