Von Miller has been heavily criticized since returning from his six game suspension last year. He played in only nine of the Broncos 19 games, if you include the playoffs. In those nine games he only had sacks in four of them, and had six sacks total. Von had 27 quarterback hurries, eight quarterback hits and 25 tackles including 23 stops (any defensive play that constitutes an offensive failure). In week 16, Miller's troubles amplified after his season ended with a torn ACL, forcing him to miss week 17 and the entirety of the playoffs.
To start the 2014 season, many were worried he wouldn't be the same after his surgery. In week one against the Colts, he was held without a sack, had four quarterback hurries, and only one stop. In week two his numbers slightly improved with a sack, five tackles, and four stops. So, the question was asked, "maybe he isn't the force he used to be?"
