I just don't get soccer's never-ending and simultaneous seasons... Plus all of the transfers and loans. Like, is Liverpool playing both EPL regular season and Champions League games? Why do you base the teams of the Champions league on the previous season when teams change from year to year?

Is Spain's pro season/schedule completely different from England's? Which is completely different from Germany's?

Spain, Germany, England all generally play their league games on Saturday, Sunday, and maybe Monday. The Champions league, Europa League, domestic cups, etc. usually have their games during the week. That makes it hard for teams like Liverpool when they have a game on Tuesday, then have another game on saturday then later in the year end up having like 6 weeks in a row where they are playing 2 games a week. It means they have to have a deep bench to keep their guys from completely weaing out.

Yes the different Leagues all start their seasons at slightly different times, but all are pretty much playing now.

Well at least it's not confusing.

So, what's the protocol here, Dave?

Am I to root for the EPL teams or no? I'm leaning towards no, because it would be awesome to see Liverpool go down at Ansfield.

It was a good win for you. Meanwhile BVB is showing why it might be the best club in the world
"We saw it…. the hussars let loose their horses. God, what power! They ran through the smoke and the sound was like that of a thousand blacksmiths beating with a thousand hammers

They rush on to the Swedes! They crash into the Swedish riters…. Overwhelm them! They crash into the second regiment - Overwhelmed! Resistance collapses, dissolves, they move forward as easily as if they were parading on a grand boulevard

Way too many chances right in front for Bayern for this to be a 0-0 draw right now.

Bayern playing CSKA Moscow in an empty stadium. Media only. Weird.
