Thread: This Struck Me as Funny

I don't really care what former players think, but this made me chuckle.

Most players say they root for their former team. Not New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker.

Decker said Monday in an interview on ESPN NewYork 98.7 FM's "The Michael Kay Show" that he has "nothing against" the Denver Broncos, but isn't a fan of theirs any longer now that he's a Jet.

"I'm rooting for the other team," Decker said. "You gotta have a little sting, of course."

And people wonder why I tend to dislike/be indifferent toward players that leave the organization.

Will he still be against us when we're playing the rest of the AFCE this year?

I'm a fan of the uniform first and the players second.

He didn't say he'd root against us, he just said that he doesn't care what does or doesn't happen to us.

He was overrated anyway.

I liked Decker but he's the enemy now. Enjoy Geno Smith and his terrible throws.

He should be thankful to the Broncos for making him a name. Without Peyton he would be a nobody, just another average #3 receiver

If I'm him I feel the same. Denver insultingly didn't even consider bringing him back. That would sting.

This doesn't bother me at all. He's not a Bronco anymore, so he SHOULD be rooting against us. We didn't try to bring him back and he's not happy about that. Wouldn't we all feel the same?

It doesn't bother me one bit, and I don't think it makes him a douchebag. He plays for Jets and needs to focus on playing well for them.
