Denver needs a D that can make plays and keep the score reasonable, I'll take those Int's and fumbles over the yards they give up. The 3rd-and-longs will even out as the pass rush develops.

Actually, they need gel to rub on their nether regions to ease the pain of what opposing offenses are doing to them.

How many different starters do we have than last year? 8 or so?

Broncos D gave up 8/13 3rd down conversions. Smith took the underneath plays for 3-5 yards s constantly. Short pass after short pass plus a few runs along the way down the field. 18 play 10 minute drive for 90 yards.
Can't let the QB get ball out so quick or else the pass rush will never make it to him.

This is the theory I'm going to go with. The Broncos are playing for the postseason. They figure these first two games are an extension of the preseason. They just need their starters to play a bit and get some points, and not lose.
Seattle will be a good reality check. I'm not going to fret until after I see what they look like in that game.

At times our D looks great and other times looks like a deer in headlights. We have a lot of good pieces to work with. I'm hopefully that we will eventually put together a complete effort. My biggest worry is that our play calling hasn't been great. This can still be a top 5 D.
