    Even if this new policy is approved tonight I don't Welker would be playing on Sunday.

    I agree that Welker is likely to be inactive this week, though, considering he hasn't practiced. He can return just in time to get another concussion from Chancellor. I kid ... I hope.

    Wes Welker, Denver Broncos: Peyton Manning's slot receiver will be eligible to play immediately. The Broncos confirmed Friday that Welker has passed all tests after suffering a concussion during the preseason. The team has not yet revealed their plans for Welker in Sunday's game versus the Chiefs. If he's active, Welker will return to the slot, with Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas kicking back outside and Andre Caldwell returning to the No. 4 receiver role. Manning's offense will be at peak strength for the Super Bowl rematch versus the Seahawks in Week 3.
