    Default NFL Rewind

I shelled out the money to get a year of NFL Rewind. This allows you to re-watch any game after it finishes in 3 different modes.

Broadcast: Allows you to watch the entire game, & hear all of the commentary, commercial free. It also provides you with a play-by-play list so you can go to specific plays.

Condensed: Allows you to watch the entire game in about 40 minutes by fast forwarding through all of the dead ball non-action. Watch from about a second or 2 before the snap to a second or 2 after, select replays (scores, turnovers & plays being challenged) & referee announcements. The commentary you hear often starts in the middle of what the commentators were talking about during the dead ball, & are cut off in the middle of what’s being said as the video skips through the dead ball periods.

Coaches Film: Shows every play from both the broadcast & overhead angles, & nothing else. You also don’t hear any commentary. This feature isn’t available until the Wednesday after the game.

I’m not going to watch every game, but I will watch game that I’ve specific questions about in “Condensed” mode. Each commentary I do will start off with the question(s) that lead me to watch the game. My analyses won’t be limited to answering that question.

    Jaguars @ Eagles

Question: What happened to Nick Foles (QB) & Brent Celek (TE), both of the Eagles? I’ve both on 1 FF team & Foles on another.

Analyses: 2 sack/lost fumbles on the Eagles 1st 2 drives set the Jags up for their only 2 TDs. Aside from that, they were pathetic as Chip Kellys’ collage style O was for the Eagles. So much so that the Jags’ O had 3, 3 & outs in a row. It was at this point that the Eagles read option started to ware down the Jags D.

If this sign of things to come, I’m going to start feeling sorry for the Jags D because they played like they’re elite. However, the stat sheet makes them appear anything but because their O hung them out to dry. Eagle’s O line was so bad that no style of O is going to be successful.

    Vikings @ Rams

Question: What’s the QB play like for both teams

Analysis: The Vikings didn’t blow out the Rams, the Rams blew themselves out. Let’s set aside the 2 picks that the Rams QBs threw. The 1st was a great play by Josh Robinson, the other was a pick 6. Nevertheless, those weren’t the biggest things the Rams did to lose the game.

    3 batched snaps
5X sacked for 27 yards lost
13 penalties for 121 yards lost. One of those penalties was an unsportsmanlike conduct for taunting enabling the Vikings to not have to start a drive deep in their own territory. Another was for ruffing the punter which extended a drive. Both of these drives ended in TDs.

As far as Vikings O, the Rams D did a good job of keeping Peterson in check. Although they did a few good things, I wasn’t that impressed with the Vikings as a whole. In fact, I’m expecting them to get exposed by the Patriots this nest week. As far as the Ram, everything I said about the Jags D in my last post applies to them as well.

I had NFL rewind last season, just bought the one team deal for Denver. But when playoff time came around, you had to shell out more money for that, almost as much money as it cost for the entire regular season. That was the point where I said eff that and cancelled the service. I'm not paying that much money to watch 1 game, maybe 3 tops. No thanks, NFL.

    Raiders & Jets

Question: Are the Raiders as bad as I think they are?

Analyses: Yes, & the Jets aren’t much better. Seriously, that was one boring game to watch. So much so that I don’t want to take the effort to think about it enough to write anything more.

Sunday ticket also gives u access to condensed versions of any game they broadcast. Usually about 30min, shows every play. I DVR them and watch four or five a week.

    Titans @ Chiefs

    Questions:
    1) What happened to Jamal Charles? I have him in an FF league.
    2) How good is Jake Locker, should he be my starter (Joe Flacco & RG III) in one of my FF leagues?
    3) Do the Chiefs pose a threat to us for the AFCW title?
    4) Do the Titans pose a threat to the Colts for the AFCS title?

Analyses: There were 2 main reasons the Titans won this game.
    1) Jake Locker was better than Alex Smith.
    2) Andy Reid refuses to run the football, even though he has one of the best RBs in the game & a QB that is nothing at best. Wisenhunt, on the other had, ran as about as balanced of an O as you can get.

As far as the Ds, both did pretty good, but the Chiefs did finally ware down due largely to the failure of their O to stay on the field.

I read through and liked the analysis. I don't have rewind, and didn't see those games, so I can't discuss much with you.

I figured that at least 1 person here would've watched each game live, & that a lot of members here have prior assessments of these players & teams.

Nevertheless, I didn't start this thread to critique NFL rewind or its competitors. If that's all anyone wants to talk about in this thread, so be it.
