NFL attorneys declined the NFLPA's request to have commissioner Roger Goodell testify in front of U.S. District Judge Barbara S. Jones, who is hearing and deciding the appeal of Ray Rice's indefinite suspension, according to a source. It doesn't mean Goodell won't testify. Judge Jones could compel him to do so. But the last thing the NFL wants, sources say, is to have Goodell's word matched up against Ray Rice's, who has told people he told the commissioner nothing but the truth.

rest - http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/...nt-sources-sayRavens general manager Ozzie Newsome testified under oath Thursday in the Ray Rice appeal hearing that he heard the former Baltimore running back tell NFL commissioner Roger Goodell during his June 16 disciplinary hearing that he had hit his then-fiancée in a casino hotel elevator, two sources told "Outside the Lines."
Rice's appeal of his indefinite suspension ended Thursday in the offices of former U.S. District Judge Barbara S. Jones, who will decide the outcome. Rice also testified Thursday, as did his wife, Janay.
What occurred in the June 16 hearing is key to Rice's chances for reinstatement, sources said. He was suspended indefinitely Sept. 8 for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy after a video of him hitting Janay and knocking her out at an Atlantic City casino was released publicly.

In my Arnie voice directed at Goodell.... "One of us is in BIG TROUBLE".
Ray Rice has won his appeal and will be reinstated immediately.

rest - http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11...-reinstatementFormer Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice has won his appeal of an indefinite suspension and has been reinstated to the NFL.
Rice is now eligible to sign with any NFL team.
U.S. District Judge Barbara S. Jones, who heard Rice's appeal earlier this month, concluded in her decision, which was obtained by ESPN, that Rice did not lie or mislead NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
"In this arbitration, the NFL argues that Commissioner Goodell was misled when he disciplined Rice the first time. Because, after careful consideration of all of the evidence, I am not persuaded that Rice lied to, or misled, the NFL at his June interview, I find that the indefinite suspension was an abuse of discretion and must be vacated," Jones' decision stated.

I could see Denver doing it. Arizona, buffalo, Miami, st. Louis. Lots of options.
Denver is in need if RB. Lots of injuries. None are outstanding.
