Not surprising.

Some people waited over two hours to trade in their No. 27 jersey for ones sporting the names of Joe Flacco, Torrey Smith and Terrell Suggs at no cost.
Ravens officials won't announce how many jerseys were exchanged until the two-day event is over on Saturday. But the line stretched the lengths of two football fields by Friday afternoon.
"If you don't want the jersey, it's worth the wait," said Dana Liebman of Baltimore.

rest - http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/...er-goodell-nflThe seven-month scandal that is threatening Roger Goodell's future as NFL commissioner began with an unexpected phone call in the early morning hours on a Saturday in February.
Just hours after running back Ray Rice knocked out his then-fiancée with a left hook at the Revel Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the Baltimore Ravens' director of security, Darren Sanders, reached an Atlantic City police officer by phone. While watching surveillance video -- shot from inside the elevator where Rice's punch knocked his fiancée unconscious -- the officer, who told Sanders he just happened to be a Ravens fan, described in detail to Sanders what he was seeing.
Sanders quickly relayed the damning video's play-by-play to team executives in Baltimore, unknowingly starting a seven-month odyssey that has mushroomed into the biggest crisis confronting a commissioner in the NFL's 95-year history.

from same article:
http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/...er-goodell-nflFor its part, the NFL -- which in other player discipline cases has been able to obtain information that's been sealed by court order -- took an uncharacteristically passive approach when it came to gathering evidence, opening itself up to widespread criticism, allegations of inconsistent approaches to player discipline and questions about whether Goodell gave Rice -- the corporate face of the Baltimore franchise -- a light punishment as a favor to his good friend Bisciotti. Four sources said Ravens executives, including Bisciotti, Cass and Newsome, urged Goodell and other league executives to give Rice no more than a two-game suspension, and that's what Goodell did on July 24.

Harbaugh apparently was set on releasing Ray Rice after the first video outside the elevator until the FO of the Ravens told him not to. And then the Ravens FO put Harbaugh out alone to address the media once the second video in the elevator was released. If all that is true, I dunno why Harbaugh is with such a scummy organization.
Man. That article is really, really damning. To both Goodell and the Ravens management. Scumbag organization indeed. If I were Harbaugh, I would be asking the hell out of there.
It's now the day and age of cowardly leadership.
Jameis Winston, suspended half a game...then re-suspended a full game.
A minor, minor hiccup, compared to Rice, but certainly as hilarious. Good job, Roger. Good job, Jimbo.
Another liar:
What the **** else could they have learned?"Based upon the results of our continuing investigation of Tuesday's incident involving Jameis Winston, we have decided to not play him for the entire game against Clemson on Saturday night," interim Florida State president Garnett S. Stokes and athletic director Stan Wilcox said in a joint statement Friday night.
Just to recap here:
The league and the Ravens knew he knocked out his fiancé in February.
While i agree there is a lot of inconsistency i dont agree that they are cowardly. Both NFL and college players understand when they get recruited or drafted by an organization that they need to adhere to the rules of said teams regarding conduct. Its not like they just come in with a free reign to do whatever they please, they understand that they represent their ball clubs and if they slip up than there can be punishments. Not sure why they switched from a half game to full with Winston but its a bit inaccurate to say its only a hiccup. Dude has been involved with rape allegations and also theft since he has been at FSU. I would say he's not doing a real good job of keeping himself out of trouble while being there.

rest - http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11...ured-rice-campBaltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti has refuted an ESPN report into the team's handling of Ray Rice's domestic abuse case, claiming that the story was "manufactured" around the accounts of the running back's inner circle.
Bisciotti addressed the ESPN "Outside the Lines" report during a news conference Monday, saying he believes that Rice's camp is attempting to "build a case for reinstatement."
"The majority of the sources [from the report] are people that work for Ray," Bisciotti said. "Almost everything in there is anonymous, but it's clear from the subject matter that it's Ray's attorney, it's Ray's agent, it's Ray's friends."
