Default 2014 college players to watch

Just looking at college players to watch who could make a splash in the draft this year.

Watching Oregon and MSU game and players flashing are Mariota (QB) and Walker (ILB) for Oregon. Lippet (WR) for MSU.

Gurley (RB) for Georgia is a beast.

Not since Luck have I wanted the Broncos to draft a player as much as I do Gurley.

Watch for Bernardrick McKinney, LB from Miss St. And La'el Collins, OL from Lsu.

    7th round— Carson Steele RB

Jameis Winston - Does he leave this early? He's a redshirt sophomore this year.

AJ Johnson - Homer pick. He's from Tennessee. I still think he's a very good Middle Linebacker.

I agree, Gurley is a playmaker.

I don't think the Broncos will even remotely be in a position to draft most of the guys mentioned (:crossesfingers: ).

I certainly dont have the background knowledge of the college game that you guys do, i dont even know who is in their freshman/sophomore year etc, but from what i have seen so far, these dudes look pretty good and appear to play in a way that could transfer to the NFL

    Nebraska - Abdullah
Penn State - Eugene Lewis/Christian Hackenberg
    Sooners - Trevor Knight
    USC - Hayes Pullard
    Stanford - Ty Montgomery

I like Hackenburg. I think he's still got two years before he can declare. Abdullah is a senior, he's the type of player whose draft stock relies heavily on his 40 time, right or wrong.

Mariota is the QB, I would Denver to get but it won't happen. I have feeling he going to be a star in NFL.

Yeah Mariota appears to have it all, but i am happy to ride with Oz as long as JFE has faith in him - so do i, he has had a good preseason, is still very young, knows the system and has been getting schooled by PFM.

Ah right, i thought he was there when McGloin was starter which made me think he might come out this year. He makes some bad throws, and has had a few INTs in each game this season, but there is just something about him, he seems to go through his progression, commands his offence weel and stands tall in the pocket.

As for Abdullah - i have no idea about his forty time, but he looks pretty fast to me.

He is a Sophomore, another year before he can come out.

He ran a 4.48 before college. With his size that puts him in the second or third, if he can run that fast. Second, third back off the board.

No way. You have Gurley (GEO), Gordon (WIS), Davis (SC), Yeldon (ALA) and Duke Johnson (MIA) before him

Miami linebacker Denzel Perryman, he always seems to be in the play and hits like a beast! The only con is he does get tired, so a little better conditioning may be needed... but they way he plays it may not be conditioning, just that he's always on the ball.

Was Yeldon splitting carries with Lacy a few years ago?
