Default Jets release Jacoby Ford, Ras-I Dowling in latest round of cuts; roster now down to 75

The Jets on Sunday morning released six more players. Coupled with the seven cuts they made Saturday night, their roster is now down to 75 players in advance of Tuesday's league-mandated deadline.

Cornerback Ras-I Dowling—a former second-round pick of the Patriots—and wide receiver Jacoby Ford are the noteworthy names in this latest round of cuts. Tight end Colin Anderson, wide receiver Mike Campbell, defensive end Anthony Grady, and fullback Chad Young were also let go Sunday morning.

Might be worth the #Broncos time to take a look at Jacoby Ford after his release..

I would have hoped Denver pursued ford even if Welker hadn't suffered a concussion. He is a much better return man than Burse.

I kinda like both guys. I could see us getting Ford.

Jacoby Ford had a worse fumble percentage on KR/PR than Holliday did last season. Pass.

It doesn't look like Ford is really a return guy. He's only had a few returns here and there since his rookie season.

Just gonna say the same thing. I read he returned nine punts and fumbled three. No thanks.

I still think we are fine at WR regardless. DT/Sanders/Latimer/Caldwell is a fine top 4. And looking at recent reports, Welker wants to be back for week 1. So I don't really see us pursuing any WRs unless Welker actually does retire.

Are some of you thinking of Jacoby Jones?
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Unless Andrew Mason is mistaken, he tweeted that Jacoby Ford is the guy who fumbled 3 times on 9 punt returns last season.

I'm thinking of the guy who had an easy time against the Broncos defense.
