It's not too early for one of these, right? Anyone watching the other preseason games?

Im watching 49ers vs Ravens. Boring and just counting down until we kick some Seabird ass.

Still shocked we lost to that team let alone only scored 8 points on them last year.

That's the only game I get. Turned it off so I could Skype and I'm still waiting for the call

The only thing I've learned from this cowboys game was to expect another 7-9 or 8-8 record. I think Tony Romo could win the super bowl with the niners, Seahawks or even the ravens. But the cowboys organization is pathetic

Michael Sam had a tackle and a QB hit in his first preseason game. This is major news.

"You know, I can play in this league," Sam said. "I can play in this league."
Incredible. He had a tackle and a QB hit. That is how you know this guy is for real. Put the guy in the Hall of Fame. Move aside Strahan, Michael Sam is first ballot material. It doesn't get much better than 1 tackle on the stat sheet. That right there belongs on the front page of ESPN.

    Will tape Texans-Cardinals while working.

Interested to see what Johnny Highball does in his NFL debut. He'll probably ad lib a few plays that will make teen girls and Aggies wet themselves and probably also make some bad reads and take at least one good hit (or one cheap hit - these are the Lions, after all). I keep saying Manziel is the 2010's version of Bobby Layne but the world has changed since the 1950s and I'm not sure Bobby Layne could survive in the modern NFL game.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Johnny Manziel went three and out and the announcers are in love.

Looks pretty good to me so far. That is one terrible offense, but Manziel looks fast and his arm has had life. Interesting player.

Definitely looked solid, especially for his first time out. He needs to speed up/improve his decision making a bit, but that's pretty normal for a rookie QB in his first games. He definitely looks like he belongs on an NFL field.

After hearing the Cards/Texans score while watching the D-Backs, I went to look at the box scores to see what was going on.

    Fitzpatrick: 6-14, 55 yards, 0 TDs & 2 INTs.

1st thing I thought, maybe the Texans shouldn't have given up on Schaub so soon. So I looked at the Raiders/Vikings box scores.

    Schaub: 3-7, 21 yards, 0TDs & 0 INTs.

Stats would've been just about identical had they thrown the same number of passes, just no INTs for Schaub. Imagine what he could've done if he wasn't playing for the Raiders.

One more performance like that and Kyle Orton's phone will be blowing up. Andre Johnson is looking like a genius right now for demanding a trade and the fanbase in Houston is not going to tolerate another year of embarrassing quarterback play. There is no way the Texans can roll out week 1 with Fitzpatrick as their starter if he doesn't show up big time next week against Atlanta. A Mallett trade or Orton signing is almost imminent at this point.
