Default 12 year old in "Slenderman" stabbing found not competent.

    http://abcnews.go.com/US/girl-accuse...ry?id=24796126

One of the 12-year-olds charged with stabbing a friend to impress the fictional Internet bogeyman Slenderman was deemed incompetent to stand trial Friday -- at least for now -- according to court documents.

Geysers parents described her as a bright student who got good grades
I can't help but to think she is faking. Either that or there were some incredibly unobservant people in her life.

And the law that says any person above the age of 10 accused of murder is automatically tried as an adult is retarded as hell.

If you intentionally try to kill someone for fun, you have forfeited your right to a life. This girl needs to be locked away for life.

12 year olds should never stand trial as adults. Doesn't matter what the crime was. It was a horrible crime against a classmate, but children simply do not comprehend the impact of their actions.

Doesnt matter to me if she stands trial as an adult or not. She made a decision in life that cost another child their life, if i was the parent of the victim i would want them locked away as well. Im just not that forgiving no matter how old the are.

Either way, its a very heinous crime. Even for a 12 year old.

I'm not saying she shouldn't be punished, but I think trying her as an adult is ridiculous. She's twelve and obviously has issues. Get her the help she needs, don't just throw her in prison for life and forget about her like some are calling for

Any killer has issues, Bundy had issues but was also very very bright. According to this girls parents she was a straight A student who showed no previous signs of behavioral problems. If you want to talk about someone who kills out of defense, i can get on board with that. But we are talking about someone who committed pre-meditated murder. Guess im just not buying the crazy act. There are clearly issues but a bad egg is a bad egg in my opinion and i think she totally knew what she was doing and should be charged as an adult.

A twelve year old brain isn't fully developed to make logical conclusions. If they were, they would be legally adults. Get her some help. Ted Bundy didn't have the "I'm only twelve years old" excuse. Don't compare the two

What if a 4 year old kills someone? Still hold this same opinion?

When I was six there was a fourth grader that would pick on me all the time. One day I was so upset I got a knife from the kitchen and I went to the park where he was at, he started in with his bullcrap. I never did anything, but let's just say I did stab him, and it was fatal, would you want me executed at six?
