Dang. They lost the plane in the wee hours of the morning and had practically all day to find it (granted, short days this time of year). I thought it had already been spotted by Noon Jakarta time. Guess there's almost no hope for any survivors here either.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
What is going on with aviation in that region? Makes no sense. This plane should've been over one of the busibusiest shipping lanes in the world according to the flight maps, how can it not be found? If it wasn't where it should've been how did they not have that on radar?
Makes no damn sense.
It's a crazy tale, no doubt. I hope they find the remains and recover what they can though the voice recorder probably won't show much, it records back over itself every two hours so the turn, climb, etc. Will all be overwritten. Maybe the pilot was giving his last will and testament prior to the stall and subsequent crash but maybe all that's there are warning buzzers and sirens.
Thankfully, we know that with the rapid ascent and depressurization that those on board went quickly and painlessly.
I deleted my post because this thread is about a different plane
