*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

The Lakers are so desperate they are going to acquire Jeremy Lin.

No clue. He's been thought to "source" other reporters without crediting for years.

Woj is the NBA reporter to follow. And apparently Chris Sheridan.

Default Kevin Love 'intrigued' by Cavaliers

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love is "intrigued" by the idea of being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers and would commit long-term to the team, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

The Cavaliers have opened talks by offering guard Dion Waiters, forward Anthony Bennett and a first-round pick to the Timberwolves in exchange for Love, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.

Love said during a June 11 appearance on ESPN's "SportsNation" that it "burns me and hurts my heart" that he hasn't made the playoffs in six seasons in the NBA.

Default Cavs, Heat not previously informed

The Cleveland Cavaliers found out they were getting LeBron James back the same way the rest of the world did, when they read James' essay that was posted on Sports Illustrated's website on Friday afternoon, sources said.

Cavs owner Dan Gilbert joined his family after hearing the news, sources said.

The Miami Heat were also not informed of James' decision until it was posted on the Internet and were not expecting it. The Heat had left their meeting with James earlier this week in Las Vegas feeling good about their chances to retain him, even if it was on a short-term deal.

No contract for James has been negotiated with the Cavs yet because no talks had taken place before the essay was released. The Cavs are expected to offer a four-year deal worth the maximum $88 million but will agree to any terms James wants.

    Chris Dempsey @dempseypost · 2h

With LeBron gone & likely Bosh, If I'm Dwyane Wade, I'm seriously thinking about retiring rather than go thru a rebuild.

    Chris Dempsey @dempseypost · 3h

And justlikethat, with LeBron back the Cavs are now the 4-1 favorite to win the #NBA title next season, according to @BovadaLV
