    Bruce Springsteen

haha ok, here's the real list, only one I know much about is Calexico:

    Timecop1983
    Liam Gallagher
    Calexico
    Pouya
    King Gizzard
    Lord Huron
First Church of the Sacred Silversexual (kind of a Bowie cover/parody/revival type thing I think, looks fun)
    Company of Thieves
    Handsome Ghost
    Xavier Rudd
    Cake and the Sea
    Handsome Ghost

North, if you read this, there is also Sleep and Devastation on the Nation (Aborted, Psycroptic, Ingested, & More!) in town.
Did you go see King Gizzard? Saw them in Philadelphia last month. Helluva show!

Couldn't get my sis hyped, should have gone solo.

Also, my wife and I saw Lord Huron in Philly about 6 years ago, and used one of his songs in our wedding

Finally seeing the original (mostly) Pumpkins lineup next week on the 5th at Pepsi Center with my son. Really looking forward to it, have seen some videos online and they look and sound great which is good because the set is clocking in at 3 hours:

EDIT: AND I get to see Nine Inch Nails a few weeks after that! Better dust off my Doc Martens for these shows...

Pumpkins are holding up over time. Nirvana. Not so much.

Got the Pumpkins coming up this Sat in San Diego. Can’t wait.

Huge fan and I learned a lot from studying Corgan’s guitar playing.

Made some light conversation with some millennials at work about the show. The answer to a person: “I’ve heard of them!”

The guitar is fading away like the elephant-thing in “Inside Out” my friends...

I am really happy my son is into them just on his own. He likes to go through my records and I have most of the major Smashing Pumpkins releases when they did the reissues. He is more excited than I am! I showed him this :

and from what I am reading in reviews it is one the the last true rock spectacle shows to make any effort in quite a long time. I have seen them every time they have come out since he reformed in 2007, but nothing has looked like this tour so far:

EDIT: Nice little mini-doc about the tour just released:

Concert was awesome as hell. Even had a great cover of Space Oddity. Full show here from a professional broadcast they had on Twitter a few weeks back if anyone is interested:

Loved the impression I got they were going to take their time and give us the night. Longest show I’ve been to and didn’t come away with very much in the way of “wish they’d played _____”. I know the saying is leave wanting more - but Corgan probably can’t be sure he’s ever doing this again so he’s giving the fans pretty much as much time as they ask for on this tour. Even when they were done they hung around on stage waving awhile and apparently spent a lot of time meeting fans before the show during the day (San Diego - might as well I guess). Loved it.

I’ve said this a bunch of places now - bring the earplugs if you’re seeing this band. So many were just standing there without any ear protection as SP was bouncing the meter at 120db. Insane.
