Yeah I'm really looking forward to seeing him again. I love his new album The Pale Emperor. He put out some crap albums the past few years but that was a nice return to form.

His new album is the best one since his first one IMO.

Took my wife to see Bret Michaels at the Gilloiz Theater here in Springfield. Actually, a very good show.

Haven't heard a lot of her stuff, but what I have, I've enjoyed.

Gonna try to get to Manson, and then I saw System of a Down just got added to the Riot Fest lineup, so I will go see them as well.

Did you go to Manson/Pumpkins shake? I wanted to but couldn't justify it on a Monday. How was it?

Show was fantastic. Manson seems to be back on track and Billy actually seemed to give a shit about the crowd for the first time in a long time and played a bunch of his hits, mostly Mellon Collie and Siamese Dream. Manson had a big church setup on stage and some props but nothing too crazy. Really tight show. After a weird opening act Marilyn Manson played just over an hour and then the Pumpkins did an hour and a half with 1 encore. The rain and the Monday night showtime kept some people away but overall one of the better shows I've seen from either band. Here is the setlist from what I remember and from what I know they played in earlier shows on this tour:

    Marilyn Manson
    Deep Six
    Disposable Teens
    mOBSCENE
    No Reflection
Third Day of a Seven Day Binge
    Sweet Dreams
    The Love Song
    Rock is Dead
    The Dope Show
    Angel With the Scabbed Wings
    Lunchbox
    The Beautiful People
    (s)AINT

    Smashing Pumpkins
    Cherub Rock
    Bullet With Butterfly Wings
    Tonight, Tonight
    Ava Adore
    Drum + Fife
    One and All
    The Everlasting Gaze
    Zero
    The Crying Tree of Mercury
    Disarm (acoustic)
    Landslide
    1979
    Run 2 Me
    Porcealina of the Vast Oceans
    Stand Inside Your Love
    United States
    Today (Encore)

Here is the one decent pic I got:

SP still doing United States? Without Chamberlain around that's just a time waster...

The reason it was played is because Chamberlain is playing drums this tour. He really is an all time great.

Looks like they came as close as Anaheim to me. Glad I didn't know about it otherwise I'd have been mad to have to miss it.

    Love Chamberlin.
