This will be the dumbest argument we have all year, but I am here to declare victory, because even if it's unclear my sentence is still accurate as written.
I said "both, unless it's PB&J" and that is correct because I only put one condiment on one piece of bread with a PB&J. If it's mayo or mustard or anything else I put that on both pieces of bread. PB&J must be made with PB on one side, jelly on the other, then combined. That's the only correct way to do it.

I don't think it makes you weird.
Personally, I prefer to isolate my bread from certain condiments, as they can sometimes make the bread a little soggyish. So I might put my mayo on top of the turkey and then put a piece of cheese on top of the mayo... depending on what kind of bread I'm using.

When it comes to burgers, the mayo goes on the bottom bun, then veggies, burger, and toppings/other condiments. In that order.
