Default Going Straight to the Majors

My friend, who isn't actually a baseball fan, was told that Ken Griffey Jr. was the only player in baseball history to skip the minors & go straight from collage to the majors. I find this doubtful that its only been done once. Do any of you know how many, if any, player have actually done this?

Do you want to count foreign players?
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

That's also not true. Griffey played 129 games in the minors. And didn't go to college.

If he was born debuted for the Mariners at the age of 19, after having played 2 years in the minors, this would mean that he was playing in the minors while he was still in high school. This might have had something to do with the confusion.

Baseball players can be drafted in June of their senior year in high school (most kids have graduated by then). Griffey was started in school early and drafted when he was 17.

He might have graduated early too. I don't know.
