So the conductors of the subway system in São Paulo went on strike today and the commuters went into full riot mode kicking down fences at the stadium where the World Cup will begin.

This is going to be an interesting World Cup.

The conductors were offered an 8% pay raise and they were asking for 16%. They had a similar situation with the city bus drivers a year ago and raised the price to ride the bus so the commuters rioted because of the price hike.

If Brasil doesn't win the Cup shit is going to get ugly.

The first one was a tap in from a wonderful Fabian Johnson pass, the second was a him putting a move on a defender and then shooting a nice shot pass the goalie. It was a nice, skillful goal.

I did not know who Fabian Johnson was until that last match. He could really make a difference in Brazil.

Offensively he could, he isn't a great defender however. Neither is Beasley. But with the 4-2-3-1 they should play you have both Beckerman and Jermaine Jones back to help defensively. Get ready for counter attack soccer. It really is our best hope.

The benefits of the new position...I'm working while I watch this (albeit, I am working on other things...)

I've got my DVR set. This will be the first World Cup of the last few where I won't get to watch a lot of the games. Jobs are overrated.

Fun? Depends on your definition of fun. If watching a sport for the intent of taking a good nap is "fun".... then yeah.
