Well, darn. Thats too bad. The circus which would have ensued would have been fun to watch.
from article:
full article - http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10...ing-roster-nflMichael $am undermines the credibility of Michael Sam.
It all feels orchestrated now: the draft-day kiss; the cake-covered face; the tears; the celebration that conveniently captured just Sam, his boyfriend and his two agents; and even the "Stand with Sam" T-shirts selling on michaelsam.com.
Who knew a reality TV show was being filmed? Who knew Sam's agents (Cameron Weiss and Joe Barkett) and publicist (Howard Bragman) had cut deals to be producers on the reality TV show?
This is all scripted and amateur. And devious, too.
Michael Sam, the football player, is being used ... by everyone. Weiss, Barkett and Bragman are cashing in. Oprah is hoping an attachment to the NFL can breathe life into her network the way the league does for CBS, Fox, NBC and ESPN. The LGBT movement appears to be more concerned with Sam advancing the cause than making the roster. And, yes, the cause is more important than football. But playing football advances the cause a lot more than Real World St. Louis.

The only thing I have ever watched on Oprah's channel is Super Soul Sunday where she interviews spiritual people. I like it because it is uplifting and #spiritual and involves people talking about what they think about life and shit. Good stuff.
First Sam says he just wants to be known as a football player, then he promptly does things to contradict that. He's in the NFL now, it's the furthest thing from something as liberal as life on a college campus.
I'm wondering who "postponed" their plans, if it was Sam's camp that might help, but if it was the Rams I don't think it helps in in the least. Either way they've given everybody some insight into what's behind Sam and his actions so far.
He just wants people to think of him as a football player, if that were true he would have made sure everybody knows he's gay. Before his reality show fiasco he had a chance, "Gay" was just a word, after his show with his boyfriend he took a flame thrower to his chances of just being a football player. The second he shoved cake in his boyfriends face he shoved his sexuality in the face of everybody watching, including his new teammates.
I don't care about politically correct and I'm so glad Denver didn't draft that circus.

from article I posted:
These people, representing Sam, may have set all of this up, without telling Sam that it had been done. Then they could have convinced him that it would be a great idea, which would help all gays. Who knows.Who knew a reality TV show was being filmed? Who knew Sam's agents (Cameron Weiss and Joe Barkett) and publicist (Howard Bragman) had cut deals to be producers on the reality TV show?

At least Shazam is open about his homophobia.
Betting he is on the list of the first cuts in TC... Just to get rid of the distraction...
