ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The lesson of the Denver Broncos' 43-8 Super Bowl XLVIII loss to the Seattle Seahawks was clear: A record-breaking offense wasn't enough to overcome speed, power and aggression. The Seahawks were faster and a step ahead of the Broncos' offense, and Denver's defense, hindered by injuries, was unable to counter that when the Seahawks had the football. Some of this will be remedied by the expected return from injuries of players such as linebacker/defensive end Von Miller, cornerback Chris Harris Jr., defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson and defensive lineman Derek Wolfe, all of whom were on injured reserve by the end of the season. So there was the flurry of signings within the first 24 hours of free agency -- cornerback Aqib Talib, safety T.J. Ward and defensive end DeMarcus Ware.
