Default Nick Saban hosts Peyton Manning

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Nick Saban hosted Peyton Manning and Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase last week for two days during a visit the Alabama Crimson Tide coach called mutually beneficial.

The presence of Manning struck a chord in Saban, who also said the quarterback was a good example of how athletes at all levels should approach their crafts.

The details of how the meeting came about weren't clear, but Saban said Manning and Gase were "making some visits" and wanted to stop by Tuscaloosa.

There should be more HC's like Saban.

    According to the article:

Under Article 21, Section 2(a)(ii), players “are not permitted to participate in . . . group or individual meetings with coaches” prior to the start of the team’s official offseason workout program.

The Broncos have yet to start their official offseason program. Gase and Manning aren’t allowed to meet.
Too bad she doesn't cheer for the Patriots dressed like this

    According to the article:
Does this only apply to a football situation, because:

Last night I posted a picture on my Twitter account (@mspear96) of Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones, quarterback Tony Romo, tight end Jason Witten, coach Jason Garrett and two former presidents -- Bill Clinton and George W. Bush -- in Jones' suite at the Final Four title game.

    According to the article:
This wouldn't really seem to apply. I doubt this means they can't even be in the same room as each other. It they were just going to tuscaloosa to give Nick Saban advice on how to stop the hurryup, that's not really team or NFL business they are conducting. I don't see the issue.

I thought the new CBA rules were put into place to limit how much teams ask of players during offseason, if Manning has a hardon to get started who ******* cares?

    Jerry Jones isn't a coach.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

My bad. Didn't see Garrett in the video preview.

I just can't believe that the intent of this rule is to keep players and coaches from even speaking to each other. To me, it just means they can't engage in any official team activities or workouts. I don't see the foul in going to have a chat with Nick Saban.

Nick Saban visited with Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning at the Alabama football offices early last week. Saban also spent time with Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase -- on the same day and in the same location. But don't connect the dots any further than that, Saban insists.

"I never said we sat down together," Saban said in an interview with The Denver Post on Friday night.
But had the visit of Manning and Gase occurred simultaneously, it might constitute a violation of the NFL collective-bargaining agreement that forbids players from having meetings with coaches before teams begin their offseason workout programs.

U of Tennessee is very pissed at Manning for helping out a major rival...Was it a lack of loyalty to his alma mater?
