I hear the SW corner of CO is supposed to get up to 5 feet tonight.

It's cool here in the Springs. 32 (23 windchill) and light snow expected tonight/tomorrow.

Isn't that the lake it took us 2 hours to drive over, schnooks? The bridge that would never end?

I like the weather down there Nomad - humidity is good for the skin.

Wow, five foot. . . a lot of us want the snow for snowboarding, etc. - but I mean, five foot!? YOWZA.

Our windchill has been in the negatives throughout the week and it's a little warmer today. (20 with a chill of I believe 9 right now) It's still really weird. I had a friend go down to Des Moines two weeks ago and it was 70 degrees there, then they got a bunch of snow.

    The Midwest is NUTS.

The Midwest IS nuts. The snow is pretty but when it covers a sheet of
ice... No matter how many yrs I have driven through and on
snow and ice....I hate it...I hate it...and then when it gets way below
    freezing...I hate that too.

No Jody! That is Lake Pontchartrain (sp) and that's near N.O. I grew up about 200 miles west along I-10. The bridge that goes from Breaux Bridge to Baton Rouge is close to 25 miles over swamp. I like the COLD!

Let's swap! You move up here, I'll move down there.

Oh that's right.....how large is Lake Charles? Is that west of Homa?

Homa's where schnooks and I went 'swamp touring' this summer.

Did you know that gators like marshmellows? I didn't have a clue.

Lake Charles is closer to Texas and is west of Houma and gator meat is awesome. I don't think I'll ever move back to La. After we're stationed here in North Dakota, we want to try to get to Alaska for a few years then my wife will retire from the Air Force and we'll move back to Utah(where our sons were born) or Washington.
