Jaime gonna have to answer for throwing Bran out the window?

Doubtful. Bran knows that was his path all along. He will probably do whatever Bran tells him he must though.

Yeah I get that sense, too. Bran is basically an all-seer now and probably knows that Jamie has done some pretty noble stuff in the time SINCE he threw a little boy out of a window.

I saw a lot of bitching on Social Media that the episode was "filler" and "too short" but I thought it did a great first episode that set all the chess pieces on the table. I imagine episode 3 is where everything will go to crap and the battle will be episodes 4 and 5.

My favorite part from last night, "MY EYES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN BLUE!" and the death stare from the dragon towards Jon.

Also Samwell stole the show for me and has been one of my favorite characters the last few seasons. His meeting with Daenerys was really well done.

Agreed. Bran told Sam he was waiting for an old friend and I suspected he meant Jaime. Wonder if Bran tells him something about Cersei which will lead to Jaime fulfilling the little brother prophesy?

Overall, it was an ok episode. A little uneven as far as motivations and plot history though. But I know they have to build up.

Didn't expect Sam to care about his father getting killed by Dany, thought that was a little out of character. His father was a kunt to him his whole life.
I don't know why the Night King needed to send a message, pretty sure everyone knows their message by now.
Didn't know how to take the delivery of Jon finding out about his parents. Just seemed meh. I legit thought Jon was going to say, I am banging my aunt.
Don't really care about the political infighting when you have a true enemy on your doorstep.

lolled at Jon introducing Dany to his family. Was waiting for, and that is Bran, he is a bit of an autistic incel now.
    Enjoyed the Arya scenes.
Cersei is such a vile ****.

What happened to Ghost? Did I miss seeing him die?
Curious to see how Bronn handles Jaime/Tyrion.

CGI budget is spent explicitly on Dragons, not Direwolves now.

More likely Danny is going to make him pay for being the kingslayer.

All of this is just trivial. They’re all gonna die... I predict the last and only characters standing will be Sam and Gillie! Sam will be the king and Gillie his queen once everyone else kills each other off or is killed by the night king. That would be fantastic, IMO.

I liked when Sansa told Tyrion the she used to think he was the most clever man alive, re: Cersei sending the Lannister army to help.

Sansa seems like the most ready to actually rule, which who knows with this show, that probably means she gonna die.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

For once, I think I’m with Cersei here.

That was actually kind of disappointing. Set up, set up, set up, “nah, sorry, they can’t make it across the sea.” Why even mention them? The golden company can be legendary warriors without it, and 80 percent of viewers (myself included) wouldn’t have known the better.

Also, if they used up the budget on that cheesy dragon flying scene, that sucks.

Sounds like I’m complaining, and I don’t mean to. I thought the episode set a lot of stuff up and gave us what will probably be some of the best one-liners of the season.

My assumption is that the lack of elephants plays into the results somehow. Also, the CGI budget thing is tongue-in-cheek. The reduction of Direwolf screen time over the years has minimized drastically, and the Dragon screen time has increased equally, imo. One could jest that they ran out of CGI budget for the direwolves because the Dragons sucked it all up. I don't think that's actually the case; I think the real reason is that the Direwolves have very little impact on the grand scheme of the story, where the dragons do. Ghost isn't going to do any significant damage to the army, and the general viewing populace wants to see dragons, yo.
